Obituary

William H. Killion, age 74, of Monroe, MI went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 5:07 PM in his home. Bill was born November 22, 1934 in Tazewell, TN the son of the late Howard James and Mabel (Earls) Killion. Bill moved to Monroe in 1952 and was a graduate of Monroe High School. On June 10, 1957 in Monroe, Bill married his beloved wife the former Thelma E. Cole. Sadly she preceded him in death on November 21, 2005. Bill proudly served his country in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. A hard working man Bill worked as a job setter for General Motors Power Train Plant in Toledo, OH for 25 years. He retired in 1985. Bill was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Bill is survived by his daughter Connie (Rev. Kenneth) Goins of LaSalle, MI, his brother Rev. James E. (Mary Jo) Killion of Hillman, MI, his sister Evelyn Sue Killion of Westland, MI, 7 cherished grandchildren, 18 treasured great grandchildren and 4 precious great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents Bill was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Trudy Jennings and Cindy Johnson. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Bill's brother the Rev. James E. Killion of Onaway Baptist Chapel in Hillman, MI will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Monroe Missionary Baptist Church.
