Obituary

William Michael Comment, 61, of Monroe, passed away peacefully, at home, on October 14, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born February 20, 1951 in Mount Clemens, MI to William Hugh and Lois Ann (Ahles) Comment.  Bill was a 1969 graduate of Holy Cross High School in Marine City.  Shortly after high school he began his career with Detroit Edison, he was a dedicated employee and retired in 2011 after 41 years.  On January 19, 2001, he married Julie Anne Langton in Toledo.
He is survived by his wife Julie; children, Erin (Jim) Ryan of New Boston, Mindy Standifer and Janell (Jared) Reece, both of Monroe, and Scott (Heather Atwood) Comment of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; stepchildren, Marcy (Mike Underwood) Sharpe of Monroe, Kristyn (Rob Gereau) Hammer of Flat Rock, Andrew (Marissa) Trowbridge of Woodhaven, and Jillian (Mark Hodges) Trowbridge of Monroe; 12 cherished grandchildren and 2 loved great grandchildren; brothers, John (Margaret) Comment of Port Charlotte, FL and Darryl Comment  of Port Huron, MI; sisters, Judy (Glen) McBride of East China, MI, Pam (George) Zauner of Casco, MI, Anita (Jerry) Wesley of Marine City, MI, and Michelle (Phillip) Biskner of East China, MI.
Sadly, his parents, a sister, Patricia Diot, and a granddaughter, Isabelle Underwood all preceded him in death.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48161, www.bacarellafuneralhome.com , from 1 PM until a memorial service to celebrate his life at 7 PM.  The Rev. Robert Bolton, family member, and friend, will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. The R.J. Nixon Funeral Home, Wyandotte was privileged to have assisted the family with arrangements.
