Buck (William C.) Jennings, 74, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2023 with his loving family at his bedside.
Born February 28, 1949, in Monroe, Buck was the son of the late David C. and Helen M. (Coatney) Jennings. Buck attended school in Monroe, and later received his GED from Monroe High School.
Buck served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served from 1967-1969. He was awarded the following: Marksmanship Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Bar and the Army Commendation Medal.
On October 26, 1996, Buck married the love of his life, the former Linda Bolton.
Buck held a variety of occupations to include working at Ford Motor Company (Monroe) and wrapped up his career as a Truck Driver, retiring in 2017.
Buck enjoyed fishing, gardening, tinkering with his 54 Chevy and simply loved to eat. Most of all Buck loved his family and rarely met a stranger.
Buck is survived by his beloved wife Linda, three loving children: Gina Marie (Mark) Jennings-Taggart, Shannon (Joe) Ortegon and Billy Jennings. Three loving stepchildren: Steven B. (Jennifer) Bolton, Tammy Jennings, and G. Bussell. Buck also leaves behind his very special grandchildren, Tad (Kati) Taggart, Hunter (Hannah) Bolton and Blake Bolton
As the family honors Buck's wishes there will be no visitation or services and cremation has already taken place.
