Wanda L. (Prewitt) Morgan, 73 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Born January 9, 1950 in Monroe, Wanda was the daughter of the late Elmer and Annabelle (Gray) Prewitt. She was a 1968 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Monroe County Community College.
On December 4, 1970, Wanda married Gary R. Morgan at Clark Street Baptist Church in Monroe.
Wanda taught preschool at Kiddie Korner, a job she truly loved, in Monroe for over 25 years. She retired in 2003.
Wanda was a lifelong member of Bible Fellowship Church, formerly known as Clark Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, coloring, and playing Bunco. Wanda was all about family and keeping them close to her heart, especially her "girls".
Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gary, her loving daughter, Amy E. Boyd of Monroe, two cherished granddaughters: Jennifer R. Morgan and Bella E. Boyd of Monroe, two siblings, Robert R. Prewitt and Cynthia E. Ferguson – Vaslo of Monroe and a nephew, whom she thought of as a son, John B. Ferguson.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Ruth Morgan, and an uncle, Robert L. Gray.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161. On Tuesday, April 11, 2023 she will lie instate at Bible Fellowship Church, 14395 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, from 10:00 am where funeral services celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 am. Rev's Andy Hill and Phillip Wylie, will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.
