Wanda J. Lindsay, 72 years of Carleton, MI. passed away Thursday, February 08, 2007 at 7:01 AM in The Select Specialty Hospital at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI. Wanda had been in poor health for 8 months. Wanda was born April 1, 1934 in Monroe, MI the daughter of the late William and Mattie (Hughes) Pruitt. On September 20, 1952 in Van Buren, AR. Wanda married Rolley G. Lindsay. A homemaker, Wanda was a member of Bible Fellowship Church where she ran the nursery for many years. Wanda also enjoyed canning, embroidery, sewing, cooking and babysitting her grandchildren. Wanda is survived by Rolley her beloved husband of 54 years. 6 loving children; Lowell (Cathy) Lindsay of Monroe, MI, Dr. Rev. Rodney (Debbie) Lindsay of Goose Creek, SC, Robby (Pam) Lindsay of Newport, MI, Ricky and (Kim) Lindsay of New Boston, MI, Randy Lindsay of Monroe, MI and Vickie (Richard) Rose of Monroe, MI. A brother Orville (Helen) Pruitt of Cheboygan, WI and a sister Janet Pruitt of Fort Wayne, IN. Wanda is also survived by 11 cherished grandchildren and 4 cherished great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Wanda was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation for Wanda will be held Saturday from 4-9 PM and Sunday from 12-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home. On Monday, February 12, 2007 she will lie in state at Bible Fellowship Church from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Eugene White pastor of Bible Fellowship Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe, MI. The family has requested memorial contributions be given to Bible Fellowship Church.
