Wanda L. (Pridemore) Jennings, 75 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in her home.
Born April 1, 1950 in Monroe, Wanda was the daughter of the late Sewell W. and Leeola "Ola" (Hammac) Pridemore. She attended Monroe High School.
On June 14, 1969, Wanda married her beloved husband, Dennis R. Jennings, in Monroe.
Wanda was a wonderful homemaker and loved caring for her family. After her children were grown, and she had some spare time, she went to work as a cook at Lincoln Elementary School, where she worked for 8 years.
Wanda was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and playing Bunko. She always kept an immaculate house and loved to vacuum and clean. Most of all Wanda loved time spent with family.
Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Dennis, two loving children: David W. (Kim) Jennings of Newport, and Rhonda G. (Daniel) Petree of Monroe, four cherished grandchildren: Heather (Caleb) Church, Colten and Jarrett (Zoie) Adkins, and Kylie Jennings, two treasured great grandchildren: Kayden and Jameson with another great grandchild due in August, and two brothers: Harold (Kathy) Pridemore of Clearwater, FL and Chet (Wanda) Pridemore of Monroe.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a sister, Mildren "Sis" Heath, and four brothers: Ray, Paul, James, and Kenny Pridemore.
In keeping with Wanda's wishes all services will be private.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
