Wanda Sue Castle, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 surrounded by family.
Born October 6, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan, Sue was the daughter of Louie and Gertrude (Gibson) Shaffer. On July 12, 1969 she married
George J. Castle III in Wyandotte and together they had two sons, Robert E. Castle and George J. Castle IV.
In 2006 Sue moved to Marlinton, West Virginia where she lived for 15 years before moving back home to Michigan and settling in Carleton to be near family in 2021. Sue was quite the homebody, but some of her favorite things to do were shopping, going to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Sue is survived by her son, George (Stacie) Castle IV; five grandchildren, Kristina Rodgers, Chelsea (Kenny) Nyhart, Robert Castle, Ruby Castle, Gracie Castle, and great grandchild, Trey Allen.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband George J. Castle III, stepfather Charles LaBoe, brother Verl Shaffer, and son Robert Castle.
In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held and at a later date Sue will be laid to rest in West Virginia.
