Virginia Helen Zychiewicz, age 82 of Monroe, MI. passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at 10:14 AM in Applewood Nursing Center in Woodhaven, MI. Virginia had been in poor health since February of this year. Virginia was born on December 23, 1923 in Detroit, MI. the daughter of the late Anthony and Carrie (Zajac) Czajkowski. A graduate of Chadsey High School in Detroit, MI. Virginia went on to work as a clerk for the National Bank of Detroit for 38 years. In 1942 Virginia married Casmir Zychiewicz in Detroit, MI. Sadly he preceded her in death in May of 1987. Virginia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Monroe. Virginia enjoyed traveling, wintering in Largo Florida and trips to the casino. Virginia is survived by 3 loving sons; David (Geraldine) Zychiewicz of Arizona, James A. (Cheryl) Zychiewicz of Chelsea, MI. and Robert W. Zychiewicz of Monroe, MI. A brother Ronald Czajkowski of Fort Myers, FL. 4 sisters; Florence Cook of St. Clair Shores, MI, Helen Magers of Garden City, MI. Dorothy Budnick of Livonia, MI. and Bernice (Donald) Vincent of Garden City, MI. 2 cherished grandchildren and a cherished great grandson. In addition to her parents and husband Virginia was preceded in death by 2 brothers Alphonse and Jerome. There will be no visitation or services for Virginia.
