Vicki Sue Kohler, 55, of Monroe, died at 3:10 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Flowers Hospital, Sylvania, OH. She had been in poor health since August and seriously ill since entering the hospital a week ago. Friends may call Friday at the Bacarella Funeral Home from 1-8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until funeral services at 2 PM. Her brother, Rev. James R. Moyers of Elkton Church of the Nazarene will officiate with burial taking place at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. She was born May 6, 1951 in Monroe, MI to Edmond and Mamie (Smith) Moyers. She married Gerald L. Kohler, September 8, 1977 in Monroe. A lifetime resident of Monroe, she was a 1969 graduate of Monroe High School, she was employed by Monroe County Community College for 30 years as an audio/visual specialist. She retired in 2002. She had also earned an Associate Degree from Monroe County Community College. She loved cats. Survivors include her husband, her mother, Mamie Rath of Monroe, a brother, James (Pennie) Moyers of Elkton, MA, 3 sisters, Sylvia Moyers, Ruth Ann Popejoy of Smyrna, TN, and Benita (Dean) Bressler of Ida. Her father preceded her in death in January 1955. Memorial gifts in her name may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Monroe.
