Toma G. Paolino, 35 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
Born August 12, 1976 in Monroe, Toma was the son of Anthony G. and Vickie L. (Mundy) Paolino. He attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1995 graduate of Monroe High School.
Toma was employed by Machine Handler's in Erie, MI, prior to that he worked for Ford Motor Company at the Monroe Plant.
Toma enjoyed life to its fullest. He enjoyed watching sports on television especially the Detroit Lions and Tigers. He was a huge fan of the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls, especially when Michael Jordan was still playing. He enjoyed fishing and dip netting, and was an incredible cook. Toma loved preparing seafood dishes and feeding his friends and family. More than anything Toma loved being with his family, especially his son and daughter, they were his heart and soul.
Toma is survived by his two children whom he adored: Gaetano A. Paolino and Meadow G. Paolino, his loving parents: Vickie and Tony Paolino, all of Monroe, his beloved grandmother: Mary S. Paolino of Vanderbilt, MI, three caring sisters: Toni L. (Gregg) Kehres of Buckner, KY, Davilyn D. (Dan) Hagar of LaSalle, MI and Bethany J. Paolino of Monroe a nephew: Ty Hagar, three nieces: Hannah Hagar and Katie and Julia Kehres, his cousin whom he thought of as a sister: Amy Randall and his two best friends since childhood: Danny "Bud" Sivils and Sean Langenderfer.
Sadly he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gaetano Paolino and his maternal grandparents: Elmer and Della Mundy and his aunt Pauline Zeitz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe where funeral services celebrating Toma's life will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. B.J. McDaniel, pastor of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
