Obituary

Timothy W. Shock, age 53, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 in his home. Tim was born August 16, 1955 in Monroe, MI the son of Wilford C. and Mary Louise (Williams) Shock. Tim graduated from Ida High School in 1975 and went on to further his education at Washtenaw Community College where he received an associate's degree. Tim was employed by the Meijer Store in Monroe as a custodian. Tim was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Tim enjoyed NASCAR, playing cards and shooting pool. At one time he played in several pool leagues in Monroe. Tim is survived by his beloved mother Mary Louise Shock of Newport, MI, 2 sisters; Pamela Gail (William) Stumpmier of S. Rockwood, MI and Colleen Kay (Brian) Martin of Monroe, 1 niece and 4 nephews. Sadly, his father Wilford preceded him in death on April 2, 2001. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. William T. Kreichbaum pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made directly to Tim's family to help defray funeral expenses.
