On Wednesday morning, July 3, 2024, Timothy A. Coyne, 73, passed away in Austin, Texas from complications due to Prostate Cancer.
Tim was born on April 25, 1951. He was the youngest of seven children born in Monroe to Andrew P. and Alice Ann (Harrington) Coyne. He attended St. Anne's and St. Mary's Elementary schools, graduating with the class of 1970 from Monroe Catholic Central High School.
He later graduated from Virginia Farrell Beauty School and began his career at Jacobson's in Ann Arbor as their Master Trimmer, before taking his styling prowess to New York City and then Austin, Texas.
Nurturing his plants, landscaping and caring for his cats, apartment complex pool and grounds were hobbies of his. He loved his life in Austin and enjoyed getting together with his many friends at social gatherings and pool parties.
Tim is survived by his siblings; sisters, Louise Blazoff, Marcella Condon and brother, James (June) Coyne; sister-in-law, Diana Coyne; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and many cousins. A special mention goes out to nephew, Steve Blazoff and niece, Kathy Blazoff for their medical knowledge and kindness which proved indispensable in Tim's final weeks. Also extremely invaluable were Tim's friends in Austin, Don Fitzgerald and Tammy Shotwell, and Nancy Kelly of Detroit, formerly of Austin. Finally, Tim leaves behind his beloved felines, Jac and Ginger.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Alice Araneta and Patricia Coyne; a brother, Andrew P. Coyne; three brothers-in-law, Dr. Alex Araneta, Robert Blazoff and William Condon.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
