Thomas Scott Cosby, age 60, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Michigan Medicine Hospital, Ann Arbor.
Tom was born April 15, 1964 in Monroe, he was the son of Bennie and Betty (McDaniel) Cosby. He married Linda K. Baumgartner December 19, 1987.
He was a 1982 graduate of Monroe High School. He attended Bedford Alliance Church and One Way Christian Fellowship Church.
At the age of 16 he started his own business, Cosby's Concessions, which he continued to run to this day. He enjoyed running the concession trailers, being at events and talking with people. He also worked for Independent Dairy and C. Barron and Sons, before retiring due to health issues.
Tom loved going camping and decorating the camper for Halloween; most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family; especially his grandchildren and grand dog.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Cosby; his mother, Betty Cosby of Monroe; three children, Courtney (Andrew) Huntington, Shelby Cosby and Justus Cosby all of Monroe; a sister, Cathy Lewis of Charleston, TN; two grandchildren, Beckham and Leighton and grand dog, Nyla.
He is preceded in death by his father; four brothers-in-law, Kenneth Baumgartner, Alfred Baumgartner, Daniel Baumgartner and Joseph Gessner.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. B.J. McDaniel, pastor of One Way Christian Fellowship Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
