Thomas A. Cole, 53 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Born April 28, 1962 in Monroe, Tommy was the son of the late Jerry A. and Helen (Turner) Cole, Sr. Tommy attended Monroe High School and later received his G.E.D.
Tommy married Lois Beebe who preceded him in death.
Tommy was employed by Independent Building Maintenance at DTE Energy in Monroe. He enjoyed welding, fishing, playing horse shoes and just simply being outside. He will be remembered as a kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone. Most of all Tommy loved time spent with friends and family.
He is survived by five children: Joshua Abalos, Thomas Morris, Michael (Amy Schlorff) Morris and Ashley R. Morris all of Monroe and Nichole (Timothy Hammack) Morris of Carleton, MI, four step children: Heather VanVleet of Toledo, OH, Nicole (Bill) Price, Eric Beebe and Angela Beebe all of Monroe, and eleven cherished grandchildren: Michael, Zane, Paris, Riley, Carter, Maliyah, Joshua, Kobie, LeLand, Thomas, and Damony, a brother: Jerry A. Cole, Jr. and a sister: Elizabeth C. (Simon) Marshall, both of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-7 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161 where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow.
