Terry Mae Crutchfield (Bosanac), age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 16, 2025 after a long but brave battle with cancer. Terry was born in Monroe on April 22, 1948 to Cubil and Opal (Burchfield) Tinnel and was adopted at a very young age by Peter Bosanac, who raised and cared for her as his own. She loved him and the extended Bosanac family very much.
Terry attended various schools in Tennessee and Michigan, graduating from Monroe High School in 1966. She continued her education, becoming a key punch operator working at Monroe Auto Equipment, Dundee Cement Company and Detroit Edison Fermi. Always busy, she worked in various capacities throughout the state as she moved with her husband Tilman's State Police employment transfers. She worked in Shipshewana, Indiana as a furniture sales agent with the Amish and later obtained her Real Estate Brokers License working for Laboe Realty in Monroe and Ellis Realty in Indian River, Michigan. She also worked in retail sales in Mackinac City. She loved to travel with Disney being her favorite destination.
Terry met her husband Tilman while in high school and they were married March 9, 1968 by Pastor Damon Patterson at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, Monroe. Together they were honored with the birth of three lovely daughters, Kristina (Pat) Runyon, Leslie (Dan) Clanton and Andrea (Eric) Livingston, all of Monroe. They have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
While she has always been a genuinely loving and caring person, she was very dedicated and generous to her family and friends. Her love was genuine and her honesty was impeccable. A charter member of Heritage Baptist Church, her belief in God was sincere and no one is more deserving to be in His presence than her.
She is survived by her husband, Tilman; daughters, Kristina, Leslie and Andrea; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a half-sister, Cecilia, several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, an infant half-sister, Simica and a sister, LaRhonda.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice, Monroe.
The family would like to sincerely thank Heartland Hospice, Monroe and their staff for the support and care they provided to Terry and her family during this difficult time
