Teddy W. Lawson, age 46, of Monroe, passed away after a kayaking accident in the River Raisin.
Teddy was born December 5, 1976 in Ann Arbor, he was the son of David W. Lawson and Cindy (Miklojczyk) Harrison.
He was a 1996 graduate of Monroe High School and was currently employed at Yanfeng Automotive.
Teddy was a kind spirited, easygoing, and loving man, who would lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. He loved spending time outdoors, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, or as he liked to call it, "wind therapy". He also enjoyed, cycling, kayaking, camping and sitting around a fire. Teddy especially loved celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks, and enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and passing out candy. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially with his two nieces. In his spare time, he turned to The Clamdigger and Longbranch, for his live "music therapy" which consisted of bands, Armed-N-Dangerous, Undyin Era, and more. Teddy was an avid Harley-Davidson fan, collector and rider.
He is survived by his father, David Lawson of Monroe; a brother Eric (Carrie) Lawson of Monroe and his two nieces Breanna and Chloe.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
