Susan D. Long, age 66, currently of Newport, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 27, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital Trenton.
Susan was born January 4, 1956 in Talladega, Alabama; she was the daughter of Brad and Joyce Helen (Perkins) Wesley. She married Joseph Michael Long in 1994.
She was a graduate of Roseville High School.
Susan loved to spend time with and take of those closest to her.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Long of Newport; three children, Olivia Sykes of Alabama, Nicole Allen of Arizona and Ethan (Larissa) Allen of Hartzell, Alabama; three siblings, Melissa (Andy) Dean of Macomb, Michele Dean of Clinton Twp. and Jeff (Teresa)Wesley of Richmond and seven grandchildren, Brooke, Bree, Adam, Josh, Zack, Emma, Anna and a great grandchild Melody Rose.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Angie and a grandson, Cody.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe; with a memorial starting at 11 a.m.
