Steven Scott Stratton, 46 years, of Carleton, MI, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 in his home.
Born January 14, 1966 in Monroe, Steve was the son of Thomas L. and Betty Lou (McHone) Stratton. Steve was baptized and confirmed at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Monroe. He was a graduate of Holy Ghost Lutheran Elementary School and a 1985 graduate of Monroe High School.
Steve had been employed at Four – Way Pallet Service in Flat Rock for the past fifteen years.
In his younger years Steve enjoyed riding dirt bikes, playing his guitar and both watching and playing baseball as a catcher. Most recently he enjoyed his music and was a car buff. Most of all Steve enjoyed time with family, especially Sunday dinners at mom's house.
Steve is survived by his loving mother Betty of Monroe, two caring brothers: Paul T. Stratton of Carleton and Kevin S. Stratton of Monroe, his beloved grandmother Thelma Stratton of Monroe and a cherished nephew Kacey Stratton. Sadly Steve was preceded in death by his father on April 22, 2008, his grandfather William Stratton and his grandmother Lillian McHone Beason.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will be held.
On Wednesday, March 28, 2012 Steve's family will greet friends from 10:00 AM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe until 11:00 AM when a memorial service celebrating his life will be held. The Rev. Larry K. Loree Jr., pastor of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Steve's name may be given to a charity of your choice.
