Steven M. McNeil, age 37 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
Born June 29, 1984 in Monroe, Steven was the son of Sheila Parks and William (Bill) McNeil. He was a 2003 graduate of Monroe High School and was employed as a union laborer in the construction industry.
Steven had a natural talent for woodworking, furniture design and upholstering. His favorite saying was "There is nothing you can't learn from YouTube." Steven had the best sense of humor; storytelling was his natural gift with his outgoing personality. When it came to taking things seriously his passion was working out.
Steven is survived by two children, Savannah Amaya McNeil and Steven Matthew McNeil, II; Mother, Sheila Parks of Monroe; Father, William "Bill" McNeil of Yuma, AZ; two brothers, Mark (Norma) McNeil and Luke (Kirstie) Bunge and sister, Whitney Bunge the most loving grandmother, Patricia Turner of Monroe; and the love of his life and mother of their children, Dayna Trosper.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Gloria Parks, and William McNeil, Sr.; and great-grandmother, Emma Morelli.
Family and friends may visit from 1 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 9th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Raines, Pastor of Monroe Full Gospel Church will officiate. Cremation will follow in accordance with family wishes.
