Steven Allen Cornoyer, 53 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Born May 26, 1961 in Monroe, Steve was the son of Robert L. and Margie C. (Hudkins) Cornoyer. Steve attended Monroe Public Schools and was a graduate of Monroe High School.
Steve was a member of and worked out of Laborer's Local 499 in Monroe for ten years and for seven years worked as a heavy equipment operator in Florida. He retired in 2008.
Steve was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his brother's cabin in Lewiston, Michigan.
Steve is survived by his beloved mother Margie of Monroe, two brothers: Mark E. (Sue) Cornoyer of Norwalk, OH and Scott L. Cornoyer of Lewiston, MI, a sister Sheri L. Stiffler of Erie, MI and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his father on February 24, 2005.
In keeping with Steven's wishes there will be no visitation and cremation will be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan is assisting his family with arrangements.
