Sherry Lynn Boetefuer, 49 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away suddenly on January 21, 2010 in Ida, MI. Sherry was born January 31, 1960 in Monroe, MI the daughter of Lynn F. and Clara C. (Hicks) Rice. Sherry was a 1978 graduate of Airport High School. While at Airport High School, Sherry attended cosmetology school and became a licensed cosmetologist. Sherry was employed as the Manager for Macomb Residential Opportunities in Ida, MI, a company that Sherry worked for over 19 years. Most of all Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sherry is survived by her 2 loving daughters; Lynnse A. and Alanna C. Boetefuer both of Monroe, her cherished and treasured granddaughter Emily J. Boetefuer, her beloved parents Lynn and Clara Rice of Carleton, MI, her brother David W. (Denise) Rice of S. Rockwood, MI, her sister Tammy F. (Skip) Bolton of Monroe and a special friend Michelle Miro of Monroe. Sadly she was preceded in death by her grandparents; Horace and Lena Hicks and Roy and Bessie Rice. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Robert C. Bolton, pastor of Free Methodist Church of Albion, MI will officiate.
