Sharon Lee Gray, age 79, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw.

Sharon was born December 20, 1946 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Merlyn and Alice (Karl) Simmons. She married Boyd Gray October 2, 1965 in Trenton.

She is a 1964 graduate of Jefferson High School and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Sharon was a bookkeeper for Nortel Lanes for 25 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family, bowling, traveling, knitting, cross stitching but she loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Boyd; two daughters, Kristi (Chad) Prater of Newport and Holly Miletti of Monroe; six grandchildren, Aaron, Kayla, Steven, Megan, Anthony and Amber and a great grandson, Evan.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Simmons.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 2 to 8 p.m. Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. She will lie instate at 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church, 225 E. Elm Ave., Monroe, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. Bill Kirsh-Carr, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery, Maybee.
