Scott Richard LaJune, 40 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:20 am in Mercy Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Scott was born August 9, 1970 in Monroe, MI the son of Richard and Mary E. (Gray) LaJune. Scott was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe. He attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1988 graduate of Monroe High School. While at Monroe High School, Scott lettered in Tennis and Vocal Music. He was also a member of the Concert Choir and Generations of Sound.
Scott was employed as a short order cook and as a carpet layer.
Scott is survived by his loving mother Mary E. LaJune of Monroe, Uncles and Aunts; Boyd and Sharon Gray, Ralph and Lila Cicero, Cousins; Kevin, Kristi, Holly, Adam and Stephanie and their families. Sadly, Scott was preceded in death by his father, Richard, maternal grandparents; Porter and Rosalie Gray, his brother Matthew LaJune, his Uncle Roy Gray, and cousins; Christopher and Jeremy.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Fr. William Fisher, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe will officiate. Interment will be held at Historic Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.
