Scot A. Woodruff, 53 years, of West Bloomfield, MI, formerly of Monroe, MI passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Born April 24, 1958 in Monroe, Scot was the son of John M. and Shirley (Brenton) Woodruff. He attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Monroe High School. He went on to attend Rets Electronics School in Toledo, OH where he graduated at the top of his class.
On June 3, 2005 in Bloomfield Township, MI, Scot married the former Kelly A. Bullock.
Scot was employed as a journeyman air balancer for Enviro-Aire in Sterling Heights, MI.
Scot enjoyed cooking, camping, wood working, tinkering with mechanical things, and his dogs. Scot was a jack of all trades and enjoyed helping others with home improvement projects. Most of all Scot enjoyed family.
Scot is survived by his beloved wife Kelly, his parents John M. and Shirley Woodruff of Monroe, 2 loving daughters; Amata L. (Jared) Redmon and Laura M. (Nick) Cousino both of Monroe, a step son; Eric R. Spooner of West Bloomfield, MI, a step daughter; Heather K. (Terry) Cox of Madison Heights, MI, 5 cherished grandchildren; Rocco, Stone, Dylan, Danyell, and Madison, and one on the way, a brother; Mark (Jean) Woodruff of Monroe, a sister; Laura Woodruff of Kalamazoo, MI and his former wife and friend Susan Woodruff of Monroe
In keeping with Scot's wishes cremation has been held. Scot's family will visit with friends on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 1-4 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, where a memorial service celebrating Scot's life will begin at 4:00 PM.
