Sandra L. Wohlgamuth, age 75, of Monroe, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. Sandy was born February 18, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. Sandy was the daughter of James and Dorthy (Kennedy) Phillips. She married her high school sweetheart Robert W. Wohlgamuth March 19, 1966 in Petersburg, sadly he preceded her in death July 16, 2014. She was a 1965 graduate of Summerfield High School.
Sandy was a volunteer for American Cancer Society and when in better health she enjoyed many activities such as golfing, bowling, traveling, gardening and coaching softball. While she enjoyed staying busy with her activities, her greatest passion was her family.
She is survived by four children, Kimberly (Graham) Britain of Wolverine Lake, MI, Connie Wohlgamuth of Monroe, Kyle (Jenny) Wohlgamuth of Monroe and Scott (Dawn) Wohlgamuth of Augusta, GA; one brother, Mike (Terri) Kennedy of Petersburg; eight grandchildren, Drake, Dawson, Breena, Morgan, Amanda, Ryan, Brandi and Tristan and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Phillips.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Sandy's family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Robert W. Wohlgamuth Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society.
