Sandra S. "Sandy" Smith, age 76, of Monroe, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Born October 24, 1946, in Monroe, the daughter of the late Horace and Lillie (Woods) Smith. She married John D'Alessandri on October 10, 1970.
Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Monroe High School.
She was employed at Jones Transfer and Owens Illinois, Sandy was working at Monroe County Community College at the time of her retirement.
Sandy is survived by her wonderful daughters, Jill (Mark) Bolster of Maybee and Jodi (Dan) Gross of Ida; one brother Bill (Bonnie) Smith of Monroe; one granddaughter, Sophia Gross, who was her heart; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend of 73 years, Sue.
In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her sister, Marge Berry and grandson, Ty Bolster.
In accordance with her wishes, private graveside services were held. Bacarella Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
