Sandra Lee (Nutt) Price, age 58, of Monroe, MI passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 7:45 PM surrounded by her family. Sandra had been in poor health for several years. Sandra was born on June 24, 1950 in Monroe, MI the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred L. (Carder) Nutt Sr. Sandra graduated with honors from Jefferson High School in 1968 and sang in the choir. On June 26, 1987 Sandra married Jan D. Price at the Monroe Assembly Of God Church. Sandra worked as a Nurses Aid Head Leader for Beach Nursing Home in Monroe for 15 years. Prior to that she had worked at McDonald's for 10 years. Sandra was a life member of Monroe Assembly Of God Church where she was baptized in 1963. Sandra was very active in her church. She had served as bookkeeper, taught Sunday School, she was a Deacon, ran the youth ministry and sang in the church choir. Sandra enjoyed crocheting, babysitting, camping, taking care of children, especially her nieces and nephews. Sandra is survived by 3 brothers; Raymond (Karen) Nutt Sr., Randy M. (Brenda) Nutt, Ronald E. (Cathy) Nutt all of Monroe, 2 sisters; Sherry M. (David) Zapko of Temperance and Kathy L. (James) Allred Sr. of Monroe, 15 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Sandra was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Segur and 2 great nieces. Sandra's wishes were to be cremated and her life to be celebrated. Her life celebration and a luncheon will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 2-5 PM at the UAW Local 723 Hall, 281 Detroit Ave., Monroe, MI 48162. Memorial contributions may be given directly to Sandra's family. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, is handling arrangements.
