Sandra L. Pillette, age 75 of Monroe, MI, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 in her home.
Born October 27, 1950 in Monroe, Sandy was the daughter of the late Ray and Ethel (Short) Gee. Sandy graduated from Monroe High School and attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. On April 28, 1969 she married Gary F. Pillette in Monroe. Together they raised three children.
Sandy was very family oriented. She embraced being a wife, mom, and especially being a grandma. Her passion for bargain shopping may have led her to working as a cashier at the former Hills Dept. Store when it first opened its doors in Monroe until its closing.
Sandy is survived by her husband; son, Gary (Dawn) Pillette of Monroe; daughter, Krystal Roggow of Monroe; three siblings, Jimmy Gee of Toledo, OH, Dennis Gee of Monroe, and Marie Reese of Bedford; eight grandchildren: Drake (Jessica) Pillette, Bryce Pillette, Aubrey Pillette, Michael Treadway, Alex Pillette, James Pillette, Dakota Roggow, and Liberty Roggow; and four great-grandchildren: Louie, Roman, Quinn, and Clayton.
In addition to her parents, sadly Sandy was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Pillette; granddaughter, Emma Treadway; brother, Robert Short; and son-in-law, Raymond Roggow.
Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of funeral at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1st at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Baltrip will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
