Sandra L. Germani, 84 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Wellspring Lutheran Home.
Born October 29, 1940 in Monroe, Sandra was the daughter of the late Gene and Juanita (Jones) Germani. She attended Monroe High School and Sienna Heights University. On August 24, 1957, she married James R. Asher, Sr., in Monroe.
Sandra was employed by Mercy Memorial Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist for 23 years.
Sandra attended North Monroe Street Church of God. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking old family recipes, crocheting, playing cards and Bingo, listening to music, and puzzles. Most of all Sandra loved time spent with family.
Sandra is survived by two loving daughters: Karen (Kenneth) Walker of LaSalle, and Renee (Phil Duchesne) Asher of Ida, nine cherished grandchildren, 13 treasured great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Margaret (Billy) Queen of Kingsport, TN, and Rose Krueger of Monroe. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her son, James R. Asher, Jr., her brother, Gene Germani, Jr. and her brother-in-law, John Krueger.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where funeral services celebrating Sandra's life will begin at 12:30 pm. The Rev. Billy Queen, Sandra's brother-in-law, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe.
