Sandra J. Brant, 69 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Hospice of Lenawee in Adrian, Michigan, with her loving family by her side.
Born December 11, 1954 in Monroe, Sandy was the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Short) Anderson, Jr. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School.
On February 19, 1972 Sandy married her beloved husband, Michael T. Brant, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, Michigan.
Sandy, in addition to being a wonderful homemaker and caring for her family, also worked outside her home. Those jobs included working at various restaurants around Monroe, The Archery Center of Monroe, and for St. John The Baptist Catholic School in Monroe. Sandy was also a compassionate caregiver, caring for both her parents and her stepmother, Pearl.
Sandy was a member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Joseph Campus in Maybee. She enjoyed bowling, bird watching, playing BUNKO, trips to the casino, camping and traveling to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Most of all Sandy enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Mike, two loving daughters: Amy L. (Jason) Homrich of Maybee and Angela M. (Jeffery) Goltowski of Monroe, four cherished grandchildren: Lucas, Blake, Lily, and Alisha, a brother, Anthony W. Anderson, Sr, two sisters-in-law: Carol (Gene) Souva, and Mary Brant and three brothers-in-law: Ron (Lon) Brant, Kevin (Sharon) Brant, and Jeff (Sherry) Brant.
In addition to her parents and stepmother Pearl, Sandy was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Donna Marie, her in-laws, James and Leona Brant and a brother-in-law Greg Brant.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 3-8 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:00 pm. On Friday, August 30, 2024, she will lie in state at Divine Grace Parish, St. Joseph Campus in Maybee from 10:00 am where Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 am. Fr. Michael Woroniewicz, will be the celebrant. Interment of her cremated remains will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery in Maybee.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Lenawee or Monroe Relay for Life.
