Obituary

Sally Ann Potcova, 79 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, MI passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 in Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center. Sally had been in declining health for several years with Alzheimer's.
Born February 18, 1932 in Monroe, MI, Sally was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Peters) Quick. Sally was a 1950 graduate of Monroe High School.
On December 31, 1955, Sally married her beloved husband Nistor Potcova Jr. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Monroe.
Sally was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church for 54 years where she taught Sunday School.
A homemaker, Sally enjoyed golf, tennis and sailing. She was a member of the Monroe Boat Club Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all Sally enjoyed her family.
Sally is survived by her husband of 55 years, Nistor, 4 loving children; Thomas (Callie) Potcova and Richard (Nikki Wilson) Potcova both of Monroe, Ann (David) Kovl of Metamora, MI and Caroline (Kendrick) Harper of Temperance, MI. 8 cherished grandchildren; Tanya, Thomas, and Brandon Potcova, Alyssa and Jessica Kovl, Natalie and Norah Harper, and Jennifer Edwards, 6 treasured great grandchildren, a brother; Joseph (Delores) Quick of Florissant, MO, and her twin sister; Sarah Gianino of Monroe.
In addition to her parents Sally was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Harry Jr. and Harold Quick, and 2 sisters; Anna Marie Yoas and June Uszynski.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe. She will lie in state at Trinity Episcopal Church in Monroe on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 10:30 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Alice Morse, pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
