Ryan C. Bates age 19 of Monroe, MI. passed away Tuesday, September 05, 2006 at 1:35 AM in Chicago, IL while visiting friends for the Labor Day Weekend. Ryan was born March 16, 1987 in Monroe, MI. the son of Jeffrey D. and Lisa M. (Long) Bates. He attended Monroe High School. Ryan mowed lawns for Cutting Edge Lawn and Landscape in Monroe where he had been employed for the past 2 years. A member of Monroe First Church Of The Nazarene he was very active in the churches youth group. Ryan enjoyed the outdoors, U of M Football and the Detroit Pistons. Ryan is survived by his beloved parents; Lisa M. Bates of Monroe and Jeffrey D. Bates of Toledo. A brother Joshua T. Bates of Monroe, 2 sisters; Jamie L. Long of Carleton and Ashley N. Bates of Luna Pier. His grandparents Earle and Judy Bates of LaSalle, and a cherished nephew Tyler Bates. Visitation for Ryan will be held Friday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home. On Saturday, September 9, 2006 he will lie in state from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating his life at 11:00 AM in Monroe First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Dale Hayford Associate Pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
