Obituary

Ruth E. Lee, 84 years, of Maumee, Ohio, formerly of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born April 3, 1930 in Hodgkins, IL, Ruth was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Parpart) Bluder. She attended high school in Hodkins, IL and received her Master's Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University.
On May 29, 1948 she married her beloved husband Harold D. Lee in Hodgkins, IL. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 9, 2006 after 57 years of Marriage.
Ruth was employed by Monroe Public Schools for 32 years and taught fifth grade at Custer Elementary School. She retired in 1995.
Ruth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe and she enjoyed sewing and quilting. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with family
Ruth is survived by four loving sons: Brian A. (Kristin) Lee of Wickliffe, OH, Jeffrey S. Lee of Rosedale, IN, David M. (Charlotte) Lee of Monroe, MI and Mark D. (Cari) Lee of Crestview, FL, eleven cherished grandchildren: Nicholas Wagner, Eric (Kassie) Lee, Jason (Faith) Lee, Caitlin Lee, Clayton George, Aaron (Mikayla) Lee, Ryann (Kandus) Lee, Matthew Lee, Kathryn Lee, Michael Lee, and Amanda Lee, seven treasured great grandchildren: Samantha, James, Melissa, Eli, Levi, Kendyl, and Madeline. A former daughter in law: Carol Lee and a sister: Joyce Maples of Downers Grove IL.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a grandson Curtis George and her sister: Shirley Myrick who also passed away on March 10, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 s. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161. On Saturday, March 14, 2015 she will lie in state at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mark Witte, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe.
