Ruth Ann Burchett, age 66 of Monroe, MI. passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 1:10 PM in her home. Ruth had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill for 1 month. Ruth was born July 14, 1940 in Luna Pier, MI. the daughter of the late Truman and Florence (Thorn) Eighmey. On September 13, 1957 in Monroe, MI. Ruth married Robert (Dan) Burchett, sadly he preceded her in death on December 22, 1987. Ruth was a homemaker. Ruth is survived by 5 loving children; Robert Daniel Burchett Jr. of Monroe, MI. Sharon L. (Daniel) Sauvey of Erie, MI. Pamela S. (Richard) Shaw of Bryan, OH. Gloria J Gowan of Ann Arbor, MI. and Julie (Charlie Bates) Burchett of Allen Park, MI. a brother William (Ruth) Eighmey of West Virginia. Also surviving are 10 cherished grandchildren, 14 cherished great grandchildren and special friends Hal and Judy Brockman. In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death her grandson Joshua Burchett. Visitation for Ruth will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 11:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 1:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Swank of Acceptance Ministries Inc. will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given in Ruth's name to the American Kidney Foundation.
