Ruby Ellen Ferguson, 84, of Carleton, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015. She had been in poor health since May, and seriously ill for a few days.
She was born February 9, 1931 in Tazewell, TN to Johnie and Axie (Hensley) Ferguson. She moved to the Monroe area in 1955 from Tazewell, and was a longtime employee of the Chrysler Corporation, retiring in the late 1980's.
She will be remembered by her family, and friends, for enjoying gardening, being a mechanic, and enjoying traveling, especially trips down south to see her family.
Ruby is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sadly, her parents, life partner, Ethel, and 8 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Friends are invited to call at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, on Friday, July 24, from 1-3 PM. Sr. Kate O'Brien, chaplain from Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe will conduct a short service at 3 PM. She will then be driven to Coffey Funeral Home, Tazewell, TN for visitation, services, and then burial in Parks Cemetery, on Ferguson Ridge.
