Obituary

Rosemary Ayers, 75, of Monroe, passed away in her home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was born March 30, 1932 in Monroe, MI to Ernest and Buelah Blanche (Mason) Rose. In 1955 she married Donald Lester Ayers in Angola, IN. Sadly, he preceded her in death on September 21, 1993. A homemaker, she and her husband were the longtime owner's of Don's Carwash in Monroe. Rose was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, #208, Petersburg (formerly Monroe Chapter #208), and the Sawyer Homestead. A cat lover, she will miss her Burman, Suri. She loved to shop and travel and enjoyed her time spent at her homes in Bartow, FL, and Mesa, AZ, and also trips to Las Vegas. She will be missed by her family; daughter, Cindy (Eugene) Flynn, granddaughter, Erynn (Ryan) Pancone, great grandchildren, Eryka, Sophia, and Will Pancone, all of Monroe, a brother, Gail (Barbara) Rose of Clyde OH, and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Margaret McBee and Evelyn Ellison, and a brother, Alfred Rose also preceded her in death. Friends may call 5-8 PM Thursday and 1-8 PM Friday at the Bacarella Funeral Home, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday at 11 AM, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. Ronald C. Schultz of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts in her name be given to the Thrift Shop Association, Monroe Public Schools Scholarship Fund, or the Alliance for Spay-Neuter and Pet Rescue.
