Rosaline Hattie Gabriel, 85 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in her home.
Born September 24, 1940, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Rose was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Kubiak) Lesniewicz. Raised in Ypsilanti, Rose was a 1959 graduate of Ypsilanti High School.
On September 5, 1959, Rose married her beloved husband, John Joseph Gabriel at St. John Catholic Church in Ypsilanti. Sadly, he preceded her in death on January 17, 2021, after 61 years of marriage.
In addition to being a wonderful homemaker and caring for her family, Rose worked at Sears, Big Boy, and Gerweck Ceramics.
Rose was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in New Boston, Michigan. She enjoyed reading and watching westerns.
Rose is survived by five loving children: John (Kim) Gabriel of Brooklyn, MI, Andrew (Stephanie) Gabriel of Maybee, MI, Lorna (Bill) Tucker of Monroe, Patrick (Robin) Gabriel of Carleton, MI, and Anthony (Amy) Gabriel of Maybee, MI, 13 cherished grandchildren, 11 treasured great grandchildren and two fur babies: Kody and Annabelle.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother Joseph.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, she will lie instate at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 18858 Huron River Dr., New Boston, Michigan, 48164, beginning at 11:00 am where Mass of the Resurrection celebrating Rose's life will begin at 12:00 noon. Fr. John Hedges, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
