Ronald B. Ritter Sr., age 69, of Monroe, MI passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 1:05 AM in his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron fought a courageous 3 year battle with lung cancer. Ron was born March 21, 1939 in Detroit, MI the son of John E. and Clara M. (Friend) Ritter. Ron was a 1957 graduate of Trenton High School. Ron first married the former Carole Ann Ostrowski. Sadly she preceded him in death. Ron then married his beloved wife the former Donna J. Richardson on December 18, 1987 in Monroe. Ron worked as a fuel supply supervisor for Detroit Edison at Trenton Channel for 31 ½ years retiring on April 30, 1999. Ron enjoyed woodcarving, camping, deer hunting, fishing, boating and spending time in northern Michigan. Ron's biggest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. Ron is survived by his beloved wife Donna, his mother Clara of Fort Worth, TX, his loving children; Ronald B. (Kyle) Ritter Jr. of Kingswood, TX and Dawn L. (Brad) Fischer of Wausau, WI, 6 cherished grandchildren; Ryan, Jeff, Briah, Matiah, Tess, and Tori, a brother Larry (Nancy) Ritter of Weatherford, TX and a sister Jacqueline (John) MacLean of South Lake, TX. Sadly, Ron was preceded in death by his father. According to Ron's wishes he will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held.
