Ronald G. Carter, 78 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022 in his home.
Born June 10, 1943 in Monroe, Ron was son of the late Harold G. and Mary Jane (Hale) Carter. Ron attended school in Monroe and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School.
On January 17, 1972 Ron married Teresa A. Brooks in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Ron was a five-star truckdriver. He drove automotive transports for the same company for 37 years. He began working for M&G Convoy, which became Commercial Carriers, and finally Allied Automotive, from which he retired in 2011.
Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge and Teamsters Local 299. Ron enjoyed driving in truck rodeo's, deer hunting, and attending Blue Grass Festivals. Most of all Ron enjoyed time spent with family.
Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa, four daughters: Melissa Lynn (Jon) Fisher of Monroe, Sherri Ann Powers of LaSalle, Rachelle L. (Brian) Loeb of Houston, TX, and Dawn R. (Kevin) VanDaele, eleven cherished grandchildren: Brooke, Blake, Kayla (Kevin), Nick, Hayden, Gabriella, Zach, Brendan, Kaden, Madalyn, and Abigail, and a sister; Mary Alice (Karl) Domeier of Saline.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a son; Paul A. Gauthier, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161, where funeral services celebrating Ron's life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 am. Rev. Roy Southerland, will officiate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
