Robert R. Quatro, 87 years, of Newport, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in his home with his family at his side.
Born May 26, 1937 in Detroit, Bob was the son of the late Fred and Adeline (Lattanzio) Quatro. Bob was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
On September 4, 1954 Bob married his beloved wife, the former Janice S. Dorsey, in Detroit. In 1975 they made Monroe their home.
Bob owned Quatro's Restaurant in Monroe for 35 years. He also co-owned and operated Northwestern Construction. He retired in 2011.
Bob was one of the founders of the DDQ charity golf outing and he enjoyed playing golf and racquetball. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball. Most of all Bob loved time spent with family.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Jan, five loving children: Kristi L. (Mike) Ashworth of Monroe, Robert D. (Pam) Quatro of Monroe, Todd S. (Mary) Quatro of Monroe, Kurt B. (Heather) Quatro of Newport, and Kelli L. (Chip) Harrington of Monroe, 15 cherished grandchildren, 12 treasured great grandchildren and two siblings: Fred Quatro and Cindy (Mark) Elster both of Allen Park, MI.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Leo and Rudy, and a sister, Rosie Coyne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 beginning at 12:00 noon at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where a memorial service celebrating Bob's life will start at 3:00 pm. Deacon Mike Stewart will officiate.
