Robert E. Knight, 33 years of Monroe, MI, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 8:10 AM in his home. Robert was born June 19, 1973 in Farmington, MI. A life long resident of Monroe, Robert graduated from Jefferson High School in 1991 where he lettered in wrestling. Robert was an all-state wrestler and named an all American. On May 17, 2003 Robert married Kimberly R. Ford at Kapalua Bay in Maui, Hawaii. Robert was employed as a carpenter with Carpenters and Millwrights Local #687 in Monroe. Robert enjoyed riding his bicycle with his son Mason, boating, and yard work. He truly enjoyed being a dad. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Kimberly, his cherished son Mason G. at home and his son Martin R. whom is due to come into this world on August 21, 2007, his father Daniel and Sue Knight of Belleville, MI, his mother Karon Eagle of S. Rockwood, MI, and his birth mother Patricia Moore of Goodrich, MI. Also surviving are 6 sisters; Amanda "Amy" Moore of Grand Blanc, MI, Tammy Moss of GA, Carolynn Martin of S. Rockwood, MI, Milinda Valente of S. Rockwood, MI, Hillary Steffey of Taylor, MI, and Emilee Eagle of S. Rockwood, MI and 2 brothers; Curtis and Daniel Knight both of Taylor, MI. Sadly his stepfather Martin Moore preceded him in death on September 16, 2004. Visitation for Robert will be held on Tuesday from 3-9 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Stephen Chaney pastor of Goodrich Assembly of God will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
