Robert James "Jim" Sivil, Sr, age 67, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born December 10, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of Thomas Robert and Roberta Carol (Howard) Sivil. He married Leanora M. "Lee" Green April 30, 1977 in Ypsilanti; sadly she preceded him in death March 1, 2020.
Jim was a manager at Clark Oil and Refinery for 30 years retiring in 2006. After his retirement he and his wife Lee owed and operated Blossoming Rose Florist in Monroe from 2006 to 2011.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee. Jim enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his children, Robert James "Jim" (Amber) Sivil, Jr., of Ida and Christina M. (Russell) West of Monroe; a sister, Debra "Debbie" Ulch of Vermontville, MI; two stepbrothers, Lloyd Payer of Ypsilanti and Floyd (Barb) Payer of Daggett, MI; eight grandchildren, Chandler West, Jacob SIvil, Gabrielle West, Beyonca Sivil, Joey Sivil, A.J. Sivil, Abigail West and Danny Sivil; one great granddaughter, Lilly Sivil and one more great grandchild on the way.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Robert James Sivil, III.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. B.J. McDaniel will officiate the service.
