Robert Frank Bilski, age 74, of South Rockwood, Michigan passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital after a brief illness.
The son of Frank John and T. Audrey (Brault) Bilski, Bob was born on September 5, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a 1969 graduate of Trenton High School and attended Western Michigan University. On April 5, 1986 Bob married Sonjia M. Lohr at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Maybee, Michigan. Together they had nearly 40 blessed years of marriage.
Bob worked in automotive supplier sales at Fabricon Automotive Products, Eagle Trim, and Astechnologies for many years before he then purchased a semi-truck and began working as a truck driver for Chiefs Trucking and Carter Express. Bob retired in 2017.
Bob absolutely loved fishing and boating and was a member of the Huron Valley Steelheaders. He also enjoyed deer hunting and had the same group of friends he would hunt with for 45 years. He always had a great time tailgating the University of Michigan football games. But above all else, there was nothing Bob treasured more than time spent with his daughter and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sonjia; his daughter, Christine (Scott) Carruth of Lansing; two grandchildren, Issac and Isabel; a sister, Carol Ann (Mark) Liska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation celebrating Bob's life will be held at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 3:00 P.M. that will be officiated by Minister Gail Cebelak, LLM. Private internment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
