Ricky A. Loveday, age 64 of Monroe, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 in his home. He had been seriously ill for a year.
Born July 9, 1958 in Monroe, Ricky was the son of the late J.S. and Sue (Wright) Loveday. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1976 and married Cheryl A. Cosby on August 19, 1977 at Bethany Baptist Church. Together they raised three daughters.
Ricky was retired from Ford Motor Company in Monroe where he worked as a pipefitter for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling, and of course spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cheryl Loveday; three dear daughters, Lesa (Aldo) Perna of LaSalle, Holly (Jory Davis) Loveday, and Katierose Loveday of Monroe; brother, Timothy Loveday of Newport; his four cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Laila, Ashton, and Greyson; and his godson, Jeremy Hitchcock.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15th at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Longtime family friend, Sr. Elaine Aldridge, IHM will officiate followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park.
