Richmond "Rich" North, 86 years, of LaSalle, Michigan, returned home to be with God on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance.
Born November 8, 1938 in Erie, Pennsylvania, Rich was the son of the late Richmond and Lucinda Ruby (Adkins) North.
On September 12, 1970 Rich married his beloved wife, Helen Marie Martella in Detroit, Michigan, Sadly, she preceded him in death on September 22, 2018 after 47 years of marriage.
Richmond was employed as a truck driver for Jones Transfer Company in Monroe, from which he retired.
Richmond was an active clergy member supporting the Spiritual Group of Eckankar. He attended Monroe County Community College where he took classes in small engine repair. He enjoyed fishing and repairing lawnmowers, snowblowers and all types of small engines. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Rich is survived by his son Mark (Cindy) North of Sault Ste Marie, MI, four step children: Stephanie North of Rochester Hills, MI, Hollie (John) Sarcone of Franklin, MI, Todd Arnsby of Louisville, KY and Scott (Autumn) Arnsby of Monroe, 11 cherished grandchildren, 16 treasured great grandchildren, 6 adored great great grandchildren, and a brother, Kenneth R. (Susan) North of N. Benton, OH.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Helen, Rich was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah and six sisters.
In keeping with Rich's wishes cremation has been held and there will be no services. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting his family with arrangements.
