Richard C. Klatt, Sr., age 78 of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 in Monroe.
Born December 20, 1947 in Monroe, Richard was the son of the late Otto and Elsie (Heiden) Klatt. He married Anita L. Kelley on June 27, 1986 in Monroe. Together they raised 3 children.
Richard enjoyed listening to Elvis music, being with his family and friends, helping others, and remembered for his kind and friendly personality.
Richard is survived by 2 sons, Richard Klatt, Jr. and Robert (Katie Stevens) Klatt, both of Monroe; grandson, Greyson; sister, Marilyn Allred; and cousins, Cindy Devyak, Judy Zurek, Doug Klatt, Sherman and Belinda Wilson.
In addition to his parents, sadly, Richard was preceded in death by his wife on February 2, 2026 and his daughter, Cloe Klatt on September 30, 2025; 5 brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Harold, Donald, and Ervin Klatt; and 2 sisters, Norma Wood and Linda Huzarski.
All are invited to celebrate Richard's life on Friday May 15th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Monroe County Rod & Gun Club.
