Richard L. Faryniarz, age 64, of Monroe, MI, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 9:40 PM in his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born November 14, 1943 in Wyandotte, MI the son of the late Bernard and Lillian (Lemanski) Faryniarz. Richard was a 1961 graduate of Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School. Richard served his country proudly as a US Marine from February 17, 1965 to February 16, 1969 serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. On May 15, 1976 Richard married his beloved wife the former Mary K. Holmes in Temperance, MI. Richard worked as an accountant for Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring in 1999. Richard was a member of Southpoint Community Christian Church in Trenton, MI and he enjoyed golf and hockey. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Mary, 4 loving sons; Rick E (Jamie) Faryniarz of Monroe, Bernard L. (Wendy) Faryniarz II of Wilmington, DE, Brian M. Meek of Monroe, Steve H. (Jenny) Meek of Newport, MI and a daughter, 2 brothers Tom (Betsy) Faryniarz and John (Candy) Faryniarz both of Wyandotte, MI and 11 cherished grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday, August 27, 2008 from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating his life at 1:00 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI. The Rev. Joe Koprowski Pastoral Care Minister at Southpoint Community Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park where the US Marine Corps Color Guard will conduct military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Monroe Cancer Connection.
