Richard Scott Canode, 34, of Union, SC, formerly of Monroe, passed away in Union on Monday, March 10, 2008. He was born on March 14, 1973 in Trenton, MI to Richard A. and Carolyn (Wilson) Canode. A lifetime resident of the area until moving to Union, SC in November, he had attended Jefferson Public Schools. At one time he worked for Handy Pro, Ann Arbor, Carpenter's Local #687, Detroit, and Ford Motor Company, Monroe. Scott loved hunting, shooting pool, and was a member of several leagues, and enjoyed snowmobiling. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Richard (Sandra) Canode, mother, Carolyn Wilson, daughter, Nikki Graczyk, all of Monroe, his grandparents, John Canode of Hamden, OH and Walter (Betty) Wilson of Jonesville, SC, and 2 sisters, Lisa Poley of Union, SC and Tracy (Jim) Beeler of Monroe. Sadly, his grandmother, Sylvia Canode, preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Bacarella Funeral Home on Friday from 1-8 PM, where services will be held at 11 AM Saturday. Rev. Roy Southerland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Memorial gifts in his name may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
