Randy J. Palmiter, age 43, of Monroe, MI passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Randy had been in poor health for 3 years. Randy was born July 27, 1966 in Monroe the son of Larry E. and Roberta J. (Butler) Palmiter. Randy attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1984 graduate of Monroe High School. On January 29, 1995 Randy married Michelle A. Carpenter in Monroe. Randy worked as a printer for Michigan Gas Utilities in Monroe for 16 years. For a short time Randy worked for ADS in Texas from which he retired due to illness on November 14, 2006. Randy was a member of Petersburg Missionary Baptist Church in Petersburg, MI. Randy enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children. Randy is survived by his beloved mother; Roberta J. Palmiter Leibold of Monroe, his loving wife of 14 years; Michelle, 3 cherished and treasured children all at home; Cali S. and twins; Nicholas A. and Hope Y. and his sister Robin J. (David) Keller of Temperance, MI. Sadly he was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe. On Thursday, October 8, 2009 he will lie in state at Stewart Road Christian Ministry Center from 10:00 AM until funeral services celebrating his life at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Sam Luke, senior pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with the children's education.
