Obituary

Ralph L. "Tex" Booth, age 82 of Liberty Center, formerly of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30,2025 in his home. He had a lifelong passion for farming and love of animals, he had bought a farm in Liberty Center where he was living out his dream of being a farmer.
He was born April 28, 1943 in Bay City, MI. The son of Richard and Helen (Pietryga) Booth. Ralph worked with Ford Motor Company for 33 ½ years and then upon retirement he worked for Elder Beerman for 10 years and held other various jobs, looking for just the right one for him. Ralph loved life and was an active member of the catholic church, enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, watching baseball (Tigers), football (Michigan and Lions), music and dancing. In addition, he was a member of the Beagle club for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand whether it was car repairs, cutting wood, babysitting, he was there!
Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph Booth, Jr of Liberty Center, OH, Richard Booth of Jackson MI; two daughters Bonnie (Scott) Dietrich of Brooklyn, MI and Cindy (Steve Kish) Duncan of Liberty Center Ohio; one brother Roger (Nancy) Booth of Belleville MI; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Maureen.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161. He will lie instate on Monday, September 8 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 511 S. Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48161 with Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Rev. Michael Newman, OSFS, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Adrian, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the care and support they provided to Ralph and his family during such a difficult time. If it had not been for them, the family would not have been able to continue to take care of Ralph at the farm where he wanted to spend his final days with his family.
